How To Believe In Yourself Using EFT

by Wal on February 13, 2015

This article gives you a step by step instruction on how to use EFT to create a strong belief in yourself. Lack of belief in self leads to lack of self confidence, destructive self-talk, lack of motivation, feeling like a failure, feeling weak and powerless, and so on. On the other hand, strong self belief leads to charisma, strength, courage, determination, a positive attitude, and so on.

There are many methods used around the world for creating a positive belief in your self, such as affirmations, hypnosis, and so on.   But unless you get rid of negative, conflicting beliefs about your self, you will never achieve total belief in self. You can use the following EFT process to implant powerful positive beliefs, remove negative conflicting beliefs, and get your belief system working congruently for you so you can achieve total belief in yourself.

EFT Setups For Believing In Yourself

Self efficacyTransform your beliefs about the belief that you don’t believe in yourself by using EFT on the following setups. I begin by getting SUDS and/or a muscle tested figures for “I believe in myself” and for “I don’t believe in myself“. Then, after clearing all of these EFT setups, I re-check SUDS and the muscle tested figures. If the figure for the negative statement is more than zero out of ten, or more than zero out of one hundred, then that tells me there is more to be done and I would try some other EFT procedure. Nevertheless, I find the following setups usually get the whole job done and sometimes with a better result than standard EFT alone.

How To Do EFT For Belief In Self

Each of the below statements represents a belief. If the statement is negative and more than 0% true then create an EFT setup to reduce the figure to 0%. If the statement is positive and less than 100% true then create an EFT setup to raise the figure to 100%. I use muscle testing to determine the figure.
For more information about how to create an EFT setup, see the instructions that appear upon the EFT Tapping Chart here.
For information about how to do muscle testing, click here.

Again, start with getting the SUDS or muscle check to find out how true is the belief “I believe in myself” and for “I don’t believe in myself“, and then do EFT on the following list. When the list is completed, check “I believe in myself” and for “I don’t believe in myself“again.

Step 1 Of 4

EFT for believing in selfThe first step is to implant the belief “I believe in myself“. You do this by exclaiming out loud and with great certainty “I believe in myself“. After each exclamation, do a round of tapping. I usually find that the point under the nose needs a lot of tapping in each round. Use the muscle check to establish if the belief has been strongly implanted. It doesn’t need to be at 100% at this stage. Getting rid of opposing beliefs will move the figure towards 100%.

Step 2 Of 4

The next step is to remove opposing beliefs by doing EFT on the following setups:

  1. I want to get over the belief that I don’t believe in myself.
  2. I want to keep the belief that I don’t believe in myself.
  3. I am willing to get over the belief that I don’t believe in myself.

Step 3 Of 4

Check again how true is the belief “I believe in myself” and how untrue “I don’t believe in myself“. If the figures are other than 100% and 0% respectively then there is more EFT to be done.

Step 4 Of 4

Re-check daily if necessary until you are convinced that the beliefs have held. Sometimes old triggers can affect newly established beliefs. If this happens then repeat the above.
